This is a great example of a before & after re-model product.

Pros:

• Lowest Cost
• Can often be applied over existing siding
• Low maintanence
• No need to paint
• Ideal for older homes or rental properties

Cons:

• Least energy efficient type of siding 
• Color cannot be changed
• Brittle in colder weather
• Low end vinyl is easily damaged
• Very flamable
• Product will fade in time (Especially in direct sunlight)
• While damaged pieces are easy to repair, it can be very difficult if not impossible to find an exact color match.
• Allows insects an easy way to enter home
